Abstract

Fellowship recipients are invited to the RCC Landhaus, situated on an eco-farm in the Bavarian countryside, to write about topics in the environmental humanities. The location provides space for thought, but also gives valuable insight into the experiences of farmers facing changing climate conditions. The piece reflects on what Rachel Carson called “the repeated refrains of nature,” their influence on thought, and the surprising places where ideas grow.
